Our Bonnie Hunt Show Runs Again

by Chuck Campbell 27. August 2010 15:39

Rumor has it that one of the episodes of The Bonnie Hunt Show that originally aired back in the Spring is going to rerun today.  Hope you'll get a chance to watch.  Although our raffle has already taken place, we are still doing our fundraising for the post-transplant expenses.  If you'd like to help, you can send your donations to the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF), 150 N. Radnor Chester Rd, Suite F-120, Radnor, PA 19087.  If you send a check, please make it payable to NTAF and simply write "in honor of Chuck Campbell" on the memo line. Thank you very much for reading my blog.  God bless.

I am continuing to pray for you and your family that the transplant happens soon.  Miracles happen everyday.  Keep the faith and stay strong.

It was an amazing show, and as we've both discussed on facebook, Bonnie Hunt is an angel. In show biz, there's a saying that timing is everything. The timing that day couldn't have been any more perfect. God's hand - and as you said, cooler heads - had to have been at work to have you and your family in the audience at the show that day. May God continue to bless you, your family, and of course, Bonnie.

Good afternoon,
I wanted to say I did watch Bonnie Hunt's show with you. It is wonderful about how much love & caring people there are in this world. Our son pasted at the age of 17 yrs. and he was an organ donor. I will keep up with this site and say my prayers for you Chuck and you family & your friends. God Bless you, Debbie Galvin

I am so happy for you Chuck. I hope that after you get your transplant you continue to use your platform to inform people about organ donation. Until your story went public I was one who thought that checking yes on the license application meant that the hospital would pull the plug on you if you were ever in an accident of some sort & were barely hanging on in order to utilize your parts. Silly I know but that is what A LOT of people think. I know you won't take this for granted and will surely pay it forward. I'll be watching for your post informing us that you have an appointment for your surgery.

Love your friend,
Jordan Sherwood (USMC Ret.)

About the author

I was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in 2005. Today my lung function is only 14% of full capacity. COPD is a progressive disease that affects the lungs. The condition worsens with time and is the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S. But, due to the fact that I am in relatively good health, other than the COPD, I am a very good candidate for a lung transplant.  As of Aug. 6, 2010 I am listed on the UNOS double lung transplant waiting list at Inova Hospital in Fairfax, VA.
